Protection from all things that harm us

As I sit here listening to the story about the 2nd grader who went missing in Oregon , my entire being trembles at the thought that someone actually went to this child's' school and harmed him. I pray that God allows this little boy to be found and that he is unharmed. I am sadden that we are in an era where children are not even safe at school. I myself do not have any biological children, but I am helping to raise my now 8 year old nephew, and the thought that some one can harm an innocent child is revolting.

Its hitting home specially because I am the one who takes my nephew to school and i can not imagine how his step mom is feeling. From now on I am going to make sure he is inside his class room before I leave him, we are fortunate to have a closed campus and his room in inside a building so I can see him go into his class room, but from now on I am walking him all the way to his door. I don't care if they say i am paranoid or over protected, I just never want something like this to happen to any one. To all the parents and, grandparents, Aunts, uncles and care givers who are raising little ones..lets make a promise to keep our eyes open and make sure our kids are safe. Specially the little ones.. they depend on us to protect them.

my heart goes out to his family and I am asking GOD to please keep him safe and help them find him.

I am leaving you with a bible verse that I hold close and dear to my Heart. My grandmother taught me this when I was 4-5 years old , she knew she was leaving me, her time on earth was coming to an end , she said this was my shield and to use it when ever i felt in danger, I pray it over all the children of the world and I ask My Lord to keep them safe.

Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."
